• THE SCHOOL

ESSC was founded in 2000 as one of the first international camps and summer schools in Cyprus. From the beginning we have put our main emphasis on the English lessons, selecting the best teachers from the area, the majority of whom are native speakers. We a variety of teaching methods that develop all skills , such as speaking, reading, writing, listening. All our teachers are qualified and fully-experienced in teaching English as a foreign language as English is the most important language in Cyprus. Our aim is to integrate the students of different nationalities and ages so we organise various projects, group work and competitions in order to bring them together to speak without any barriers.

• OUR NEW CENTRE IN LIMASSOL

Limassol is the second biggest town of Cyprus with a population of 228,000. It has become one of the most important tourism, trade and service-providing centres on the island. Limassol is renowned for its long cultural tradition. The tourist area of Limassol is located around 4 km away from the city centre. It offers a wide range of souvenir shops, cafeterias, tavernas, pubs and discos. There are numerous beaches to choose from. A wide spectrum of activities and a number of museums and archaeological sites are available to the interested visitor. As a shopping centre, Limassol offers the full range from modern to traditional. Tourist may also like to visit the Limassol Marina or stroll along the promenade.

• ACCOMMODATION

The Valana Hotel Apartments are situated 10 minutes from the sea and the main tourist area. They are a family-run establishment which means that the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. There is a large pool with a wide area for sunbathing surrounded by palm trees and a large lawn for playing games. The rooms are spacious and fully air-conditioned. Students are accommodated in one bedroom apartments (4-5 students in 2 rooms, 1 bathroom) or studios (3 students, 1 bathroom), each with private balcony, telephone and air conditioning. There is a kitchenette in every apartment but with no equipment provided for safety reasons. Our students may also like to buy a frappe or other refreshing drinks from the pool bar to cool down before their lesson. The language course takes place within the residence area so there is no need to travel or walk to school.

Families with small children are welcome at ESSC! Parents may take lessons and the little one may go to the nearby kindergarten or stay under babysitter’s supervision.
