ABOUT US
The English Sunny School of Cyprus was first opened in the year 2000 and since then we have been teaching English to students of all ages, who come from a variety of countries. We base our reputation on the quality of our teaching as well as on the entertainment and extra cultural and sporting activities which we offer. Students of all ages and abilities can attend the school during the hot summer months of July and August.
In addition, we endeavour to fulfil special requests by organizing tuition and recreation all the year round. We aim to provide our students with a unique opportunity for social and cultural development, in a caring environment where they can learn English by communicating with students from all over the world.

COUNTRY
Cyprus is the third largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, after Sicily and Sardinia. Wherever you go on the island you can find evidence of British Colonialism, modern British life as well as fascinating ancient Greek culture and, of course, Cyprus is renowned for its hospitality. CLIMATE
The climate of Cyprus makes the island one of the healthiest places in the world. A long dry summer and a mild winter creates an atmosphere approaching paradise, as you can enjoy the bright sunshine and swim in the sea the whole year round.

NEW! OUR NEW CENTRE IN LIMASSOL NEW!

… is the second biggest town of Cyprus with a population of 228,000. It has become one of the most important tourism, trade and service-providing centres on the island. Limassol is renowned for its long cultural tradition. The tourist area of Limassol is located around 4 km away from the city centre. It offers a wide range of souvenir shops, cafeterias, tavernas, pubs and discos. There are numerous beaches to choose from. A wide spectrum of activities and a number of museums and archaeological sites are available to the interested visitor. As a shopping centre, Limassol offers the full range from modern to traditional. Tourist may also like to visit the Limassol Marina or stroll along the promenade.

ESSC LIMASSOL CENTRE

Our classes and accommodation are located in a very nice apartment complex in the heart of the Limassol tourist area, only a few minutes away from beaches, shops and discos. This makes the stay in the school very attractive! Lessons take place in nice air conditioned classrooms and one outside classroom, which proved to be very popular among the students. After the lessons students may use all the facilities such as:
­ pool area set in green environment with a spacious swimming pool, sun beds and cafeteria,
­ restaurant,
­ cafeteria,
­ TV and video lounge,
­ safety boxes,
­ 24 hour reception,
­ free wi-fi access in the lobby,
­ video games area.

ROOMS

Our residential language courses take place under the same roof as the accommodation which is very convenient for the students. We offer well equipped elegant apartments with bathroom, private balcony, radio, telephone and air conditioning. Students are accommodated in one bedroom apartments (4-5 students in 2 rooms, shared bathroom) or studios (3 students). There is a kitchenette in each apartment but with no equipment provided for safety reasons.

LESSONS
Lessons are carefully prepared by our qualified and enthusiastic native English speaking teachers who concentrate on the processes of communication. The emphasis of the General English course is on conversational English using the core elements of vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. There are a maximum of 15 students in any class and the classrooms are positioned away from the communal areas of the hotel so that students do not disturb other guests – and vice-versa. All the classrooms are air-conditioned and have CD players. There is a DVD/Video room which is used by the class teachers. We also have an outdoor classroom which proved extremely popular with the students!

A one week course includes 20 lessons (50 minutes each). The ESSC teachers offer students a variety of strategies and teaching techniques to improve their ability to use English in social situations. After passing the final progress test students are given a certificate of attendance. On arrival all students are handed a welcome pack, including a note book, a pen, a T-shirt or a beach bag and some useful information about Cyprus.
On the occasion of our 10th anniversary we offer 1 extra conversation lesson for all clients who enrol at least 2 days earlier (the number of places is limited). One can use this opportunity to improve the speaking skills or to solve any problems occurred during the stay.

SUMMARY:
GENERAL ENGLISH COURSE:
• 20 lessons per week
• each lesson = 50 minutes
• levels: beginner to advanced
• age: teenagers 12-17 and adults 18+
• group size: maximum 15 per classroom
• course length: 1-8 weeks

TEENAGER PACKAGE
All students under 18 are obliged to buy the teenager or junior package. This option includes min. 2 weeks stay in apparment or studio in Limassol, 3 meals a day, General English Course (20 lessons per week), every day activities, 24 hours supervision by the school representative.

ACTIVITIES
We organise fantastic activities, a daily activity programme including 1 full day excursion per week (Waterpark, Nicosia, Troodos Mountains etc.), half day activities (sightseeing, bowling, beach etc.), cultural programme (talent evening, Greek lesson, miming, quiz about Cyprus... or other), sport activities (football, basketball, volleyball), beach and swimming pool activities, disco evenings and movie evenings.

TRANSFERS
Return airport transfers are included on all group arrivals arriving to Limassol. Individual clients are charged extra (see the pricelist).

FOR CLOSED GROUPS
We offer 1 free place for a group leader with every 15 students

INDIVIDUAL CLIENTS
We accept individual clients the whole year around and provide them with one-to-one courses in English, Business English, Greek, Spanish, Russian or French. You can stay in a hotel in Larnaca or Limassol, or you can choose a higher standard hotel (prices on request). We can also organize an individual activity programme with fascinating excursions to discover this beautiful island. We can rent cars, bicycles or even yachts!
